Inspiration

Inspiration for my paintings comes from my enjoyment of the countryside and animals, particularly horses and dogs.

I look for subjects which fire my imagination and interest and prefer to observe the subject to be painted.

Commissions provide a different but no less stimulating challenge, to capture the character and physical likeness of the subject in my paintings.

Recent paintings include the Thoroughbred horse, horse racing and studies of dogs, for example the Greyhound, Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd Dog.
